Care That Listens.
Medicine That Integrates.
CPCIM combines primary care with integrative medicine to treat patients holistically and create unique treatment plans that are specific to each patient. We understand that medicine is not a “one size fits all” approach. That is why we value the importance of active listening with our patients and understand that you know you best. We encourage patients to participate in their care plan and take the approach of utilizing evidence-based medicine with real life experience. CPCIM believes that there can be a balance between treating patients with a combination of western medicine and alternative therapies to achieve a whole state of wellness.
MEET MARIBETH
Expertise Guided by Experience
Maribeth Simmons-Selking, MSN, APRN, FNP-C, is a Board-Certified Family Nurse Practitioner who earned her master’s degree in nursing from Indiana State University. She has been in the healthcare industry for nearly two decades with most of that time spent in primary care, urgent care, and emergency medicine. While she loves treating all disease processes, she has a particular passion for connective tissue disorders, women’s health, mental health, and wellness- centered patient care.
Maribeth started Charlottesville Primary Care and Integrative Medicine (CPCIM) because she wanted to merge the gap between conventional primary care practices and integrative medicine. She designed CPCIM to be a space for patients to come and feel heard by their care team while being an active participant in their treatment plan. As someone who suffers from a connective tissue disorder, Maribeth understands first- hand the frustration of mystery diagnoses, and all the many facets that go along with living with a chronic disease. That is why she has taken such an interest in wellness practices including the power of nutrition, exercise, and in supplement education.
Maribeth has lived in Charlottesville for over a decade with her family. She is an avid runner and weight- lifter, military wife, and mom of three children and multiple fur babies. When Maribeth is not busy running CPCIM and seeing patients, you can find her spending time with her family, volunteering at her church, coaching her daughter’s soccer team or volunteering with her daughters’ dance performances.
At CPCIM, we believe healthcare should be personal, collaborative, and empowering. Our team is dedicated to listening deeply, guiding you with clarity, and crafting care plans that honor both your immediate needs and your long-term goals.
